Once again we had an unreal time on the Nomad. The crew you have on board headed up by Jono is bloody fantastic. The new cook “Hotman” has taken the food to a new level which often left us groaning from overeating simply cos we just couldn’t stop!! Apart from the fact he’s a really good cook he’s also just such a nice bloke who genuinely wants to please. Kadir has continued to grow and is doing such a great job as you’re Indo captain.

Apart from the professional way he handles the boats, he’s also learnt a lot about the surf and the different conditions that suit the many, many different breaks up there. This was a real bonus when we ventured off in the mighty Boomarang. Curry is a very good boat boy and always alert to us slack bastards that wave our boards at him. He turns up with a smile and even gets in and has a crack at the surf which was entertaining. Genny the kitchen hand is also a good young guy who is always quick to help out where required.

Jono is a f@#ken legend!!! This year we did a lot of travelling. I reckon we covered over 4 hundred miles over the 2 weeks and we punters slept through it all. The boys worked really hard to have us wake up at new destinations every few days with some mind blowing waves and set ups on most occasions. Jono made some great and sometimes risky calls that all paid off with uncrowded epic waves!
