Its that time of year again when Resort Latitude Zero welcomes back the “Australian Lawyers Surfing Association”.

A pesky low is smashing the area at the moment with strong north and west storms and testing weather conditions all round for our surf guide and marine team.

The weather hasn’t dampened any spirits or enthusiasm though with plenty of smiles and fun sessions going down between the squalls. Telo islands is one of the few areas in Sumatra with many surfing options even when the tropical equatorial weather is at its worst.

The relentless winds from the north & west, stronger in the afternoons means the recently added cocktail “Latitude Sling”, the afternoon debates and discussions around the pool and RLZ afternoon golf tournament have also become a determining factor in the nightly awards and the coveted Yellow Jersey… and the jury is out.

The ALSA group have brought along Simon “Swilly” Williams to capture all the fun and action with Swilly spending big hours in the water to grab these great images.
