If you’re looking for an Indonesia surf trip then the Telo Islands offer a fantastic alternative to a Mentawai surf trip. Resort Latitude Zero’s fleet of aluminium plated speedboats have been custom designed and built to suit the local conditions with long days surfing, fishing and diving in mind.
All our speedboats are powered by twin 200HP Suzuki 4-stroke engines and run at close to 30 knots to minimise downtime between sessions. All our boats have hard top canopies for all day shade or protection from the rain.
Take your pick from the 6 speed boat fleet, including the lighter, faster ZERO 1 – perfectly designed to get you closer to the action for optimum viewing and shooting. Or the larger and more comfortable ZERO 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, built to handle any wind, swell and weather conditions with ease.
Resort Latitude Zero has its own dry-dock with qualified on-site technicians and mechanics. They tend to a rigid and thorough maintenance and service schedule, as specified by engine and boat manufacturers. Therefore ensuring the entire fleet is in top condition at all times so we never miss a session.
The Telo Island chain, also known as the Batu Islands, is made up of over 100 islands with Resort Latitude Zero situated right in the middle. This means the entire Telo Island surfing region is within reach every day for all our surf resort guests.
Our devoted cohort of Indonesia surf trip Surf Guides, Captains, Employees and Managers are seasoned veterans of the area boasting decades of experience and, most importantly, a serious obsession with scoring pumping waves. Our team are some of the saltiest Telo Island surf professionals and know the Sumatran surf region like the back of their hand. As a result, they can interpret complex local weather patterns and swell reports better than anyone, and they will certainly get you into the best waves possible.
When the day comes to a close, you’re completely surfed out and the sun is setting like a picture perfect postcard, this is when you can kick back and really enjoy a few yarns and share in the stoke.

All our vessels can be rigged up for fishing expeditions in minutes with plenty of fishing equipment suited to the local Telo Island fishing grounds. These include trawling rigs with Penn reels, overhead casting and spinning rigs, hand lines, and a large stock of lures and fishing tackle.
