02. Getting to Bima

01. Getting to Bali

While Bima airport also has flights to Lombok (LOP) & Makassar (UPG), getting to Bima via Bali (DPS) is the most practical and efficient.

Most major Australian cities have cheap, regular and direct flights to Bali.

Singapore (SIN), Kuala Lumpur (KUL), Bangkok (BKK), Hong Kong (HKG), Seoul (ICN), Tokyo (NRT), Amsterdam (AMS), Doha (DOH), Dubai (DXB) also have direct flights.

For short stays or day transit in Bali we recommend the very comfortable and convenient Novotel Bali Airport located inside Bali airport and connected to both terminals.

If you wish to use VIP service (at your own expense) through Bali airport here are several options. This can be handy to fast track procedures for tight transit times.

02. Getting to Bima

We recommend purchasing your domestic tickets well in advance to avoid missing out. As of January 2026 our preferred domestic flight schedule is as follows –

Please note – as of May 2026, all Latitude Zero arrival transfers will be facilitated to meet Saturday flights only. If you choose to arrive Bima on Friday, please make your own way to your Bima city transit hotel. Pick up from Bima city transit hotel will be at 1015hrs on Saturday to meet with other guests at Bima airport arriving on the above Transnusa Saturday flight, then transport down to the resort.

Saturday (finish date of your trip) –

If logistics and conditions allow, guests can surf up until about 0800hrs on departure day. Departure from resort is 0830hrs.

03. Surfboard Policy

TransNusa Airlines fee for surfboards is currently advertised as IDR 200.000 per board bag per domestic flight.

We can provide surfboards overland service where needed for large groups. The drive is roughly 24-hour drive pending traffic and ferry schedules. Price for truck service is IDR 1.200.000 per board bag each way. Availability for this service is at the discretion of Latitude Zero to suit the entire group.

Adam, Latitude Zero Operations Manager will reach out to you via WhatsApp on the Tuesday before your trip if truck service is required for your group.

If your group requires truck service for surfboards, international flight requirements in & out of Bali are as follows –

Arrival

You will need to be in Bali early morning Friday if you would like your boards at Latitude Zero for your first surf at the resort on Saturday.

Our contracted driver will pick up your surfboards from your chosen point at convenience to suit the group logistics.

Departure

You can book exit tickets from Bali after 1900hrs to be safe on Saturday.

Your boards will depart resort no later than 1600hrs on Friday and arrive Bali roughly 1600hrs on Saturday to your chosen point.

Latitude Zero Nusa Tenggara has a large range of quality boards of all sizes available at the resort for use free of charge if you prefer to travel without boards, with less boards or need to use on arrival or departure day if any unforeseen delays with surfboard transport.

We recommend traveling light when it comes to boards. Single board bags (or slim double board bags) are much easier to handle for airlines than big heavy and bulky coffin bags. We advise using your slim board bags for boards only for this reason and pack clothes and other items into a suitcase or bag, not all together into a big heavy coffin bag.

Your regular use short board is generally enough for this region.

Latitude Zero provides complimentary laundry service, boat & pool towels, padded day use surfboard covers of all sizes to assist you to pack & travel light for your surfing holiday.

Latitude Zero is not responsible for any missing or late arriving luggage or surfboards for any commercial international or domestic flights and transport disruptions out of our control for overland surfboard service.

04. Bima

Our logistics staff will meet you out the front of Bima airport arrivals. We are not allowed into the baggage carousel area.

It is customary to use porter service in Indonesian airports to help with surfboards and luggage, especially in more remote areas. Please have small money ready for this service on arrival to Bima (approximately Rp 50.000 or $5 AUD). We know all of the Bima airport porters well and if you let them know you are staying with “Latitude Zero” they will assist with smooth meet up with our staff and cars waiting out the front.

While Bali airport check-in is modern and efficient, Bima airport is a little less organized and a little more “rural”. We can arrange VIP service on departure day for Rp 210.000 to save you lining up for check-in etc. $20 well spent, and we can add to this to your resort bill on check out if you choose this very worthy service.

It is advisable not to discuss your destination with other traveling surfers accessing the Lakey Peak area along the way.
