Latitude Zero Surf Resorts

02. While at Resort

1 – What is the Daily Surfing Situation?

Now it’s time to settle into a relaxed holiday mode and let us take care of you.

Please remember to drink plenty of water, regularly apply sunscreen, wear surf shirts and hats.

Please also remember to surf within your limits to ensure your and other’s safety.

We have very experienced surf guides that study the forecast each night and are confident they are taking you to the best possible spot to suit each day’s conditions. The time of departure each morning for your speedboat is all pending swell, weather, and tide conditions, usually just after light. Each day is different as to destination and plan of attack, sometimes we take a packed lunch and surf a number of places all day long, other days we surf for the morning and return to the resort for lunch, then head out again for the afternoon activities… Most surfers take a small waterproof carry bag on the speedboats with a towel, hat, shirt, sunscreen, wax, wax comb, mobile phone, and iPod. We have hot water flasks on the speedboats with tea, coffee, noodles, and an ESKY full of water, soft drinks, juices, snacks, and beer.

2 – Non-Surfers / Leisure

For those that choose not to go surfing, we have a couple of boats for some close-by exploration, kayaks, plenty of snorkeling and fishing equipment, and stand-up paddleboards to use at your own leisure. We also have a great massage and spa service, lots of books, satellite television, a games room with pool and table tennis table, and a gym with a range of workout equipment and yoga mats. Also available are footballs, soccer balls, and golf clubs.

3 – Duty Free

We have a fully stocked and serviced bar and we would appreciate if all drinks could be purchased through this service. We do have a corkage charge if you choose to bring your own.

4 – Meals

Breakfast consists of both help yourself Continental buffet and an extensive A La Carte menu where you can order a cooked meal from our fully qualified Chef. Evening meals and enticing desserts are usually served just after dark after a few relaxing sunset drinks and nibbles around the pool.

5 – Bill Payment

No cash is required day to day while at Latitude Zero Resorts in Telo Islands. You will be asked to sign a POS slip for all purchases during your stay and can settle your bill on checkout.

Due to our remote location, we are unfortunately unable to provide credit card facilities, however, you can make an exact transfer payment direct from your phone banking app to our USD or AUD Wise accounts when settling your bill on checkout. This is our preferred method of payment and a simple local transfer from your account with no international transfer fees.

Cash is also accepted if needed – we prefer IDR but also accept AUD, EUR & USD in very good condition only.

Most guests spend approximately AUD $4-500 for a 7-night stay…. perhaps more if you enjoy our delicious cocktails more than most.

6 – Tips Policy

We welcome tips for our hardworking team. If you wish to tip our staff, please have cash with you for this, any currency is fine.

Surf guides can be taken care of directly and for our amazing team of Indonesian staff, we have a tips box at reception, which is divided monthly among all staff including our backhouse staff and our Padang admin & logistics teams.

7 – Complimentary Amateur Photo Service

Our surf guides and marine staff will capture much of your day’s surfing during your stay. Any photos we get will be shown on the big screen each afternoon in the restaurant. These are yours to take home at the end of your trip. Please bring along a USB drive for this purpose or we do sell them at reception also for those who forget.

Departure Day

On the last evening of your stay, our Resort Manager will make sure all clothes are returned to you from the laundry, bills are finalized, and that you have your bags all packed.

Morning activities prior to departure will depend on each individual group, swell, wind forecast, weather conditions, and the exact final departure schedule issued by Susi Air. Some groups can fit in a quick final surf on the way to the airport if conditions and scheduling allow.

The final call for the final morning’s activities will be left to the discretion of the Resort Manager.
