01. What is the Surf Like?
Most waves are suited to intermediate surfers most of the time and your regular shortboard will be perfect most of the time. The take-offs are reasonably mechanical so it is rare you will need a big wave gun board to enjoy these waves in most conditions. A slightly bigger board may help if we are looking at a large swell window for your trip.
The point out front is the main focus of our surfing.
Depending on where you sit the point caters for all levels. The top of the point is a heavy and hollow barrel section, the rest of the point offers a more friendly long open wall that allows many turns and ends up in a bowly section into the channel.
If smaller swells not quite big enough for the point, 20 minutes away we have a selection of swell magnet waves –
- A reasonably mechanical wrapping left with tube sections and plenty of room for manoeuvres.
- A barrelling take off right that allows for turns down the line.
- A left/right peak. Longer rights with open faces, a chance of the odd tube and a shorter left barrel.
If larger swells too big for The Point, we have an excellent long tubing right nearby that also provides workable walls on the higher tides.
There is also a friendly left option in the same channel when the swell is up.
02. What is the Daily Surfing Situation?
Now it’s time to settle into a relaxed holiday mode and let us take care of you.
We have very experienced surf guides that study the forecast each night will get the best out of each day’s conditions for you.
Please also remember to surf within your limits to ensure your’s and other’s safety.
We have a fantastic right hander straight out the front of the resort, this is either a 10 minute paddle from the beach or a quick jet-ski run out with one of the surf guides when the conditions allow.
If the tide or swell is not quite right for the wave out front, we have the option of speedboating to other nearby locations.
Every day is an adventure, some days we may take a packed lunch outing while others sessions allow for a return to resort for lunch. Day to day surfing plans will be made the night before with the surf guides over dinner.
Most surfers take a small waterproof carry bag on the speedboats with a towel, hat, shirt, sunscreen, wax, wax comb, mobile phone. We have hot water flasks on the speedboats with tea, coffee, noodles and an esky full of drinks, snacks and beer.
We have quality resort day use surfboard covers to look after your sticks for boating days.
03. Non-Surfing / Leisure Activities
For those that choose not to go surfing, we have boats for close-by exploration, plenty of snorkeling and fishing equipment, and stand-up paddle boards to use at your own leisure. We also have a great massage service, lots of books, satellite television, billiard table, pools, pickleball court and daily guided yoga classes. Also available are footballs, soccer balls, and golf clubs.

- Babysitting. With some notice we can normally organise child care service
06. Duty Free
We have a fully stocked and serviced bar and we would appreciate if all drinks could be purchased through this service. We do have a corkage charge if you choose to bring your own.
07. Meals
Breakfast consists of both help yourself Continental buffet and an extensive A La Carte menu where you can order a cooked meal from our fully qualified Chef. Evening meals and enticing desserts are usually served at around 7pm after a few relaxing sunset drinks and nibbles around the pool.
08. Onsite Bill Payments
To make your stay with us smoother, safer and more convenient, Latitude Zero Resorts are now cash-free.
All transactions for bar, spa and other purchases can be settled quickly and securely with your debt or credit card, or phone banking digital card via EFTPOS on checkout without bank fees.
09. Tips Policy
We welcome tips for our hardworking team. If you wish to tip our staff, please have cash with you for this, any currency in good condition is fine.
Should you wish to thank your surf guides, we kindly ask that any gratuities for them be given directly.
Should you wish to recognise the efforts of our Indonesian team, gratuity envelopes are available from the cashier. These contributions are securely held and shared equally among our Indonesian staff at the end of each month.
This approach ensures your generosity reaches every member of the team who has contributed to your experience—from our friendly front-of-house and marine crews to the many dedicated professionals working behind the scenes, including our housekeeping, kitchen, engineering, grounds, and logistics teams.
