Great little follow up story from Neil Cameron about the recent 2019 BK Surf Classic.
Pretty stoked to have the Mangalui and Latitude Zero Resort involved with the BK Surf Classic. With over $18,000 in prize money and another $10,000 in Prizes this is one of Australia’s best surfing events.
Now in its 44th year and still run by Byron Bay Boardriders.
A big congratulations to Connor Oleary for taking out the Open Mens Division and the $5000 first prize.
The over 40s drew a lot of attention also with the WSL Commissioner Kieron Perrow, and former World Tour competitors, Daniel Wills and Lee Winkler all competing in the final with honours going to Willsy.
With over a hundred people turning up to the Park Hotel for the Presentation, raffles and Auctions the big highlight was the Auction of the Mangalui 14 day charter trip, which saw some strong bidding with the eventual winning bid going to The Commissioner himself Kieron Perrow. KP and his brother Simon are now booked on the Mangalui for next year for the ultimate trip through the Mentawai Islands and beyond.
A big thanks again to Matt Cruden and the team from all of us at Byron Bay Boardriders.
