We are stoked to welcome back our first guests this week and although Huey hasn’t yet come to the party the outlook still looks great- fun chest high waves with just a couple of mates in the warm tropics. The waves over the weekend have been average by our lofty and spoilt standards but certainly not flat, and we have made the most of what is out there with full surfing days and tired early nights. A serous of intense Lows and cyclones in the far east Indian Ocean have dominated the weather maps for the past few weeks creating swell blocking Highs further to the west but we are looking forward to an improvement in surfing conditions and a rise in swell by Tuesday across Sumatra.
It’s only a matter of weeks now before the Indian ocean swell machine kicks into full gear for the southern hemisphere winter swell windows and normal transmission resumes in the deep Roaring Forties after such a great start to the year through February and March.
